Setting Influences

The bassic information that any pc should know or find on a map is that they live on a large-scale continent that has harsh deserts in the south, a wilderness of sorts to the west featuring great forests and a swampy shorewith rivers running through it, great plains in the cental and eastern regions, very cold weather in the northern region featuring a good mix of sceenary and vegatation, a hilly region south of the plains but north of the desert, a mountainous region in the northwest cutting the forests off from the snowy north regions, also a mountainous cliffy region south of the desert, the central area is very diverse; being mostly flat with hills, and trees feeding up into the western forest, and has many lakes and a river running through the western forest to this point, there is a smaller forested area south of the plains, and that there are two islands off the east coast called “the teffernal twins” that are uninhabitted. As well as the diverse geography, a standard pc should also know a reif history of the region and tales regarding ancient history. It is said that in the beggining strange and fowl creatures walked the land until the gods gave mercy to them and turned them into the gnomes. Those that ressisted were turned into animals but legend has it some got away. the gnomes
